Merry Christmas to one and all from St Andrews Berwick Rangers Supporters. It’s been a hell of a ride so far this season that’s for sure. A failed boardroom takeover attempt, the manager then leaving and poor old me trapping nerves in my back and being unable to walk for a few weeks. This meant missing all the preseason games and betfred cup games and then getting my 81 year old dad to drive me to the subsequent matches. I was off work from July to mid November and I’m still not 100%.
Luckily we have Albion Rovers propping up the bottom of the table this year. A heartbreaking season for Albion fans for sure but a buffer for Berwick. The playoffs at the bottom end of the table won’t be fun, the teams looking to come up are getting stronger every year and it will be difficult to get back into League 2 if you go down. Let’s hope that Johnny Harvey and his coaching staff can get the team playing better and we can increase the gap from the bottom. As I write this the next game at home is against Edinburgh City who are flying high at the top of the table having had a lot of investment over the last couple of years since entering the league. I won’t be holding my breath for any points from that game but a decent performance from the team is the least the fans need at this point. Anyway Merry Christmas! Comments are closed.
