We caught up with Ryan Kidd this week. We had a list of shoot magazine style questions for him, the ones we asked Sean Brennan and Shea Dowie last year.(https://www.berwickranger.com/blog/catch-up-with-the-keepers-the-answers). As part of the catch up we handed over £100 to Ryan to help with his expenses as a keeper and at 16 years old it was welcome support. Thanks to Ian Runciman for the photo. What do you do when you are not playing football?
when I am not playing football I like to go out with my friends or mostly like to sit in and watch tv. What's your favourite song? My favourite song would probably be AJ Tracey, Ladbroke Grove. What’s your favourite car? (or What type of car would you like to own?) I would like to own a Mercedes Benz a class. What is your favourite meal? My favourite cooked meal would be steak and chips. What is your favourite holiday? probably Barca with my team mates last summer. Right-handed or left-handed?(Right footed or left-footed?) all right sided, confident in ma left foot. boot size and glove size? 8.5 or 9 in boots gloves 8.5 depending on the sizing. Are there any other footballers in your family? nah no footballers. Who told you that you should be a goalkeeper? To be honest no one, our keeper broke his nose and I was tall for my age at the time so they asked me to put me in goals. Who is your footballing hero? I would probably say De gea or Ederson cause I try to emulate their style of play into my game. What is the best moment in your career so far? I would probably say my school team winning the league 4 times in a row plus we only conceded 5 goals in those 4 seasons. What’s the worst? when a was younger it was my second trial game in youth development and I tried to clear the ball and it ended up at the strikers feet. What is your match day routine for a home game? I don’t really have a routine. What’s in your kit bag for a match? boots/gloves/shin pads/socks. Do you have any pre match superstitions? Lucky socks for example. I don’t really have any. How do you wind down after a game? Shower then something to eat on the way home. And finally When do the Christmas decorations go up in your house? At the beginning of December. Comments are closed.
